Kitchen Design & Remodeling Contractors
in Bucks County

Most people wait three years before they call anyone

Not because they can’t decide what they want. They put off the kitchen remodel because everyone in Bucks County knows someone whose project went sideways: the budget that grew by $50,000, the decision sprung on them Tuesday with an answer due Wednesday.

Almost none of that is bad carpentry. It happens when the kitchen designer and the remodeling contractor work for different companies. A detail can’t be built as drawn, someone improvises on site, and you get the bill later.

At Armitage, design and build happen under one roof. Emeline draws your kitchen. Cody runs the build. When something has to change, they work it out together, then with you, before a dollar gets spent on it.

“From the moment that Armitage Interiors prepared their first rendering of our proposed kitchen design, we immediately knew that we selected the right company for our remodeling project. Emeline’s creative flair and understanding of our needs were reflected in the proposed design. Cody demonstrated attention to detail and quality craftsmanship during the construction phase and minimized disruption to adjacent rooms. We are looking forward to our next project with Armitage Interiors. ”

Design-Build Kitchen Remodelers in Bucks County

What you get with Armitage

Your kitchen is designed for the house it belongs in. Cabinetry is drawn and built for your room, not adapted from stock sizes. Before demolition starts, you approve renderings made from a 3D scan of your actual space, so what gets built matches what you signed off on. The same two people who design it stay with it through construction.

Most kitchen renovations take six to eight weeks to build. Each one carries a three-year warranty, three times the one-year industry standard. You’ll get a realistic timeline for yours at the first visit.

Your Bucks County Kitchen Designers

The two people who will be in your house

Armitage Interiors is a Bucks County design-build firm run by Emeline Tinsman and Cody Jones. Since expanding into a full design-build practice in 2019, they have taken more than fifty homeowners through kitchens, bathrooms and whole-home renovations.

Emeline trained in interior design at Philadelphia University and is at her best drawing custom millwork and fitting new work into old houses. She will be the one drawing yours.

Cody came up through carpentry and furniture restoration, including time at the George Nakashima Woodworker studio in New Hope. He will be the one running your build, from the first day to the final walkthrough.

You will not be handed to anybody else after you sign.

Which one is your kitchen?

There’s nowhere to put anything.

Old Bucks County kitchens weren’t built for how anyone cooks now, and stock cabinets make it worse by forcing the room to match the boxes. Emeline draws the cabinetry for your room, a cabinet shop we trust builds it, and Cody oversees it through installation. That’s how a 1920s kitchen ends up with a baking counter where the radiator used to be.

All of it has to go.

Structural work, cabinetry, lighting, plumbing, and finishes, all run by one team. Cody manages the build himself, so you have one number to call and trades scheduled against a plan rather than whoever’s free that week.

You’re not the one coordinating anybody, and you get your kitchen back in six to eight weeks.

The problem isn’t the kitchen. It’s the wall next
to it.

A lot of our kitchens don’t stop at the kitchen. The dining room, mudroom, or family room comes into it because the wall between them is the actual problem. Take it down properly and the whole floor changes. You can see the garden from the sink, and everyone at Thanksgiving is finally in the same room.

Custom Kitchen Design

We design kitchens with a clear point of view, focused on how the space is used every day. Proportions, layout, and materials are considered from the start for a result that feels balanced, functional, and built to last.

Our Kitchen Remodeling Process

Step 1: Discovery Call + Home Visit

We begin by learning about your goals, timeline, and how you use your kitchen each day. A walkthrough of your space allows us to explore possibilities and discuss realistic investment ranges.

Step 2: Design Agreement + 3D Scan

We create a detailed 3D scan of your kitchen to build accurate layouts and prepare pricing that reflects your real space, not approximations.

Step 3: Design, Selections + Budget Alignment

Cabinetry, counters, tile, lighting, and finishes are explored through guided design meetings. You receive real-time budget updates so each decision feels informed and comfortable.

Step 4: Construction Contract + Preparation

Once the design is finalized, we prepare a detailed scope, schedule, and material list. Permits are submitted, key items are ordered, and the team is coordinated so construction begins smoothly.

Step 5: Construction, Completion + Warranty

Cody runs the build himself and keeps you updated from demolition to the final walkthrough. After touch-ups, a three-year workmanship warranty covers the work.

Kitchen Remodeling Costs in Bucks County

The Part Most Firms Won’t Tell You Until Meeting Three.

$150,000 to $220,000

That is where a full custom kitchen lands. It buys cabinetry built for your room rather than ordered to fit it, stone counters, appliances worth keeping, a real lighting plan, and a layout that changed instead of getting worked around.

Above that

When walls move, the house needs structural work, or the kitchen opens into the dining room and becomes a first-floor renovation.

Below that

We are probably not your firm, and we would rather say so now than after you have taken an afternoon off work.

Your number

You get a range at the first visit, a detailed figure during design, and a budget that updates the day you choose a material.

You will never open an invoice and find a number you did not approve.

Why Choose Our Bucks County Kitchen Remodelers

Why Homeowners Choose Us

Design matters. So does how you’re treated while the work gets done.

A lot of the homeowners we meet have been through a remodel before, or watched a friend suffer through a bad one. They want to know someone is listening. So that’s where we start. Before any drawings, we learn how your household runs and what you’re comfortable spending, and the plan gets built from those answers.

The goal is a kitchen that makes ordinary days easier. Mornings move faster. Having friends over no longer means everyone crowding around one counter.

Thoughtful, Insight Driven Design

Your kitchen is shaped around how you live, not a predetermined style. We design with intention and sensitivity to your routines.

Artisan Level Craftsmanship

Cody’s woodworking background means every cabinet and built-in is held to a craftsman’s standard, whether it comes from a partner shop or our own carpenters.

Unified Design + Build

Design and build answer to the same team, so problems get solved on paper, not on site.

Respect First Communication

We keep you informed, protect your home, and respond with care so the process feels calm and predictable.

Budget Integrity

Every selection ties to a clear, organized budget, helping you make confident decisions at each step.

Kitchen Remodeling FAQs

What factors affect the cost of a kitchen remodel in Bucks County?
Kitchen remodeling costs can vary significantly depending on the size of the space, the level of customization, material selections, structural changes, and whether the project extends into surrounding living areas. Features such as custom cabinetry, built-ins, flooring, lighting, appliances, and layout changes can all impact the overall investment.

Many kitchen remodeling projects also include updates beyond the kitchen itself — such as adjoining dining rooms, living spaces, or first-floor renovations — which can influence the overall scope of the project.

For homeowners beginning the planning process, we’ve also put together a guide on the factors that can influence remodeling costs and project scope: How to Plan a Home Remodel.
Most standard kitchen remodels limited to one room are completed in 6 to 8 weeks of active construction. Projects involving wall removal, structural work, custom lead times, or expansion into surrounding rooms may take longer. Planning, selections, and material ordering typically occur before construction begins.
Yes. We regularly redesign kitchens to improve function, flow, storage, and overall use of space. This can include removing walls, relocating appliances, adding islands, reworking lighting plans, and adjusting plumbing or electrical locations where feasible.
Yes. Our design-build approach includes guidance on cabinetry, countertops, backsplash tile, flooring, plumbing fixtures, lighting, hardware, paint colors, and finish selections so the final space feels cohesive and well planned.
In many cases, yes. However, homeowners should expect temporary inconvenience, reduced kitchen access, dust control measures, and changes to daily routines during construction. We work to keep disruption as manageable as possible.
Some do. Permits are commonly required when electrical, plumbing, structural, or layout changes are involved. Cosmetic updates may require less oversight. We help determine the appropriate permitting path based on the project scope and municipality.
The largest cost drivers are layout changes, structural work, custom cabinetry, premium appliances, stone or quartz countertops, flooring throughout adjacent spaces, upgraded lighting, detailed finish carpentry, and hidden conditions discovered during demolition.
